Description
Goji berries, or wolf berries, are available everywhere since they’re native to China. You can even find them in your local Pharmacy because they a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) ingredient, said to promote calmness and improve sleep if consumed regularly. They are now even becoming more popular in Western supermarkets as they are low-GI and valued for their health-giving properties. This recipe exploits the goji is a different way to using it to flavour tea or broth. This recipe makes around 4 servings of jam or cordial.
Ingredients
Dried goji berries, 1 cup
Orange zest, 1 tbsp
Fresh ginger, minced, 1 tbsp
Raw local honey, 1 tbsp

Preparation
1. Soak the goji berries in hot water for 5 minutes.
2. Grate the orange peel and fresh ginger.
3. Strain the goji berries (save the water to drink for later as goji berry tea is delicious).
4. Add all ingredients together and blend until smooth.
Alternative Options
You can spread the raw jam on toast or add it to your oatmeal or millet porridge. Alternatively, add 1 tbsp of the jam to 1 cup of natural coconut water or mineral water and stir to make a cordial.
